Ryan McNeill’s path to directing began after leaving a New York ad agency to pursue film in Los Angeles. After spending several years shooting TV and documentary projects, including 2 seasons of Deadliest Catch, he opted to shift his focus toward directing less frigid pursuits. His music videos for acclaimed artists on such labels as Sub Pop, Merge, ANTI, Mercury, and EMI have earned him accolades at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival, the UK Music Video Awards, as well as winning the Audience Award for Best Music Video at the Los Angeles Film Festival. Commercial clients include TOMS Shoes, the Gap, and Dom Perignon.
