In assessing his 35 year career in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) management, Ron found a strong common denominator among his varied assignments. In each case, he had been successful in turning a poor performing operation into a worldclass operation from an EHS perspective. With this thought, Ron founded Safety Turnaround Services in 2010 to share the secrets of the successes that he enjoyed with FMC Corporation, Monsanto Company, Fisher Controls, Emerson Electric, Eaton Corporation and, Imperial Sugar Company.
STS specializes in the development of EHS management systems (including ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001), resolution of unique or difficult problems, team development for EHS excellence, development of world-class combustible dust management programs, and incident investigation. Based on Ron's experience as Senior Director, EHS for Imperial Sugar where he helped lead the company's comeback following the combustible dust explosion that claimed 14 lives, STS is prepared to help firms of various sizes and industries to shape comprehensive combustible dust management programs, including the culture change that is needed for ultimate success.
