Originally from South Africa, Samantha has been a cornerstone of London’s music scene for 18 years, earning her place as one of the city’s top female talents. A sought-after name among London’s trendiest parties, she consistently secures bookings at some of the capital's most renowned events.
Samantha’s London debut came in 2009 at Mooch, followed by notable appearances at Jaded and a decade-long residency with Get Diverted. Over the years, she has shared the stage with iconic names such as Slam, Josh Wink, Anja Schneider, Mr. C, Catz ‘N Dogz, Robert Babicz, DJ T, Ray Okpara, Todd Terry, Just Her, MoBlack, Nandu, and more. Her talent has taken her beyond the UK, with international gigs at Time in the Philippines, Area 51 on Boracay Island, and venues across South Africa. A career highlight includes performing in the main room of the legendary Fabric nightclub in London.
Samantha’s sound is deeply influenced by her South African heritage, blending tribal and percussive elements with rolling techno, hypnotic beats, two-step grooves, soulful melodies, and atmospheric chimes. This fusion has become her signature "rolling deep tribal tech" style. In 2016, she released her debut EP, Retrograde, on Mind Ability Records.
In 2013, Samantha founded the Buntu brand and record label, a platform for creative exploration and collaboration. Buntu events bring together a diverse mix of underground DJs, live performers, visual artists, and creatives from various disciplines. The brand has also extended its reach internationally, hosting events, music production workshops, and networking opportunities in South Africa, empowering emerging artists and fostering connections within the global music community.
