Samantha Bull
Artist Manager. Musician. University Student.
Hello, my name is Sam and I am a 21 year old artist manager, musician and student from South Wales, UK. I am a Co-Founder of Independent Metalcore Record label 'Hydra Records'. My main instrument is guitar, which I have been playing since I was 14 years old. I am studying BAHons Popular Music at the University of Glamorgan, ATRiuM Campus in Cardiff and am due to graduate this summer.
I currently act as General Manager and Booking agent for the bands 'Buried In Alaska' and 'Here Lies The Enemy' as part of my work at Hydra Records.
Over the last year I have been busy building up a reputation, constructing a portfolio of my work and networking with professionals in the music industry throughout South Wales, working as a volunteer at SWN Festival in Cardiff in October 2011, flyering for Merthyr Rock in Cardiff city centre in July 2011 and helping out with a live music promotions company in my hometown of Aberdare in the Cynon Valley organising live music events throughout the summer months.
I play guitar in a band called Colourful Thief, who I also manage in my spare time. In September we supported Erin Lang on the Cardiff date of her UK tour. Other bands we have had the pleasure of playing with include The Broken Vinyl Club, We Are The Physics and Scriber.
Music is what drives me, it is my passion in life.
