Samuel Mikel Bowles is Vice President of Mutually Human. In this role, he is responsible for implementing, managing, and growing the company's software practice, including sales, recruitment, and strategic initiatives.

Samuel also contributes his expertise as a board member and Director of Operations for the Information Architecture Institute. He serves as an advisor to Chicago-based health-care startup, Human Practice, and speaks internationally on how Agile and Lean can be applied to the practice of design.

Prior to joining Mutually Human, Samuel held a number of senior design positions both nationally and internationally. During a seven year period between 2003 and 2010 he balanced a successful freelance career with operating a non-profit organization providing communication services to North African aid organizations.

In his free time Samuel enjoys writing, traveling, tinkering and playing with his two school-aged children. After seven years living in Spain he speaks Spanish proficiently and would love to learn a third language but has yet to make up his mind between French and Arabic.
