Sarah Van Assche

The founder and principal of Sarah Van Assche Interiors, Sarah Van Assche has years of experience as a businessperson and entrepreneur, particularly in marketing, sales, and management. Since founding her company in 1991, Ms. Van Assche has directed it in such a way as to achieve continued growth and customer satisfaction.

Over the course of her career, Sarah Van Assche has served in numerous management roles. In the years after graduating from college, she worked as a marketing planner, advertising manager, and finally as a marketing supervisor at firms in Detroit, Chicago, and Milwaukee. Deciding to move into the hospitality industry, she founded Paradigm Catering, a high-end catering business for which she acted as chef and operator. In 1989, Ms. Van Assche took a position with Richard Himmel Interiors as design assistant to the project manager. Promoted quickly to project manager, she maintained responsibility for design and interactions with clients on all projects.

By 1991, the designer had completed her bachelor of fine arts from the Harrington College of Design in Chicago and was prepared to launch her own firm. With private and corporate clients in the Chicago area and around the country, Sarah Van Assche continues to respect restraint, clean lines, and well-crafted items as part of her design philosophy.
