Sascha Mornell

San Francisco, CA

An accomplished entrepreneur, Sascha Mornell co-founded and is Chief Executive Officer of the San Francisco-based companies ZigAir, which aims to help travelers share private flights with its innovative "buy the seat" model, and GetMyBoat, which provides a platform through which watercraft owners can rent out or charter their boats. In addition to co-founding and leading those two start-ups, Sascha Mornell is the Chairman and co-founder of Phacil, an award-winning government contractor with its headquarters in Arlington, Virginia.

Mr. Mornell co-founded Phacil with Rafael Collado in 2001; since then it has grown to over 500 employees and garnered honors such as the GSA Technical Excellence Award and the MDA Award for Excellence in Business Administration. The Company has also been named to Software Magazine’s Software 500 and the Washington Business Journal’s 50 fastest-growing companies. T

As part of his work with Phacil, Sascha Mornell and his business partner Rafael Collado give back to the community through the Phacil Foundation, a charitable arm they established to contribute funds to nonprofits, especially those that serve the military community and at-risk youth.

When he is not working, Mr. Mornell enjoys sports and spending time with family. Mr. Mornell is a graduate from Harvard Business School (MBA) and graduated with honors from UC Berkeley.
