Journalist since 2001. Currently, I'm a News Editor (Assignment Editor) with CNN's 2016 Political Desk. I've had a "thing" for politics since the 80s when President Reagan was running for re-election. My love for politics continued when Ann Richards became Texas' 45th Governor.

I've spent a number of years working on the Assignment Desk and even worked as an Assignment Manager. While, I love tracking down facts, sending crews to breaking news and working with sources, I soon discovered that I had a passion for producing. I have produced newscasts at television stations in Houston and Miami. I've also had the opportunity to launch a one-hour 5pm newscast and worked as executive producer on several news specials.

In 2010 I was fortune enough to land a job at CNN in Atlanta. I've worked as a producer for the network's affiliate service Newsource and a News Editor with CNN's Affiliate Content Center.

On a person note; I am an aspiring still photographer, gamer, reality tv junkie, avid movie watcher and a wanna-be comedian.
