Savio Thattil

Savio Thattil boasts nearly 15 years of experience in the fields of technology and business. As Director of the Technology in the eCommerce Division at Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., Thattil developed methods that aided the mega-store’s online business e in improving quality and time of delivery while slashing cost of development by 30 percent. Savio Thattil helped drive call center and store delivery optimizations, with a $20 million bottom-line result. Holding his Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering at the University of Bombay and his Master’s degree in Computer Science at Loyola University, Savio Thattil garnered knowledge as a student that led him to a successful career in transferring information via the Internet. Throughout his career, Thattil has assisted various corporations, including Wal-Mart, in capitalizing on the rapidly expanding eCommerce business that provides a competitive advantage because of the Internet’s ability to conduct business faster, cheaper, and in a more convenient manner. In 1999, Savio Thattil joined Oracle Corporation, a world-renowned integrated business software and hardware systems company. Thattil had previously worked used Oracle solutions to solve complex corporate problems while employed with Eli Lilly and Company and General Motors Company. Thattil remained with Oracle Corporation until 2006, serving initially as a Project Lead and later as a Development Manager. While there, he also mentored teams both in the United States and in India to help deliver products. Savio Thattil then became Wal-Mart’s eCommerce lead, serving with the company until 2011. With Wal-Mart, Thattil trained teams in remote locations not to just carry out instructions, but to become “thought” leaders. Savio Thattil possesses expertise in Internet eBusiness applications, Customer Relationship Management, Enterprise Resource Planning, performance, databases, life cycle management for orders and products, and more. In addition to being well versed in Oracle Products, Thattil has also trained in ATG/Sterling Commerce, which provides seamless and secure integration of key business operations from selling to fulfillment; Unica, a leader in marketing software solutions; and Business Intelligence.
