Stephanie Cala

Stephanie is a Customer Delight Specialist at Posit Science in San Francisco, California. As a Customer Delight Specialist her duties include responding to inquiries about Posit Science programs, offering first tier tech support, and making sure users are feeling delighted after those interactions.

Posit Science is a small neuroscience company that builds brain training programs to help slow cognitive decline associated with healthy aging. Since starting at this position in 2014, Stephanie noticed the same kinds of questions being asked repeatedly by the program's users: how does this work? What should I do? How do I do it? In response, Stephanie built a self-help center where users can look up answers to their own questions, and supplemented those answers with multimedia—videos primarily, but also animated GIFs when needed.

Stephanie originally set out to work in education after her first stint at the hands-on science museum, the Exploratorium. Soon after beginning as an Explainer—a museum docent—she began working for the Museum Rentals department. Although she enjoyed coordinating private museum rentals (and still does today), Stephanie realized that she was still longing for the opportunity to teach. Enter: Posit Science.

Today, Stephanie also produces content for the Ace of Geeks and Zanzibar Collective. When she's not writing articles or editing videos, there's a good chance she's either down at the archery range, playing games, snapping photos, traveling, cooking, or digging in to a fantasy novel.
