Scott Perlov practices law at his firm, the Law Offices of Scott Perlov, in Boulder, Colorado. Scott Perlov did not originally choose the field of law when he began his educational pursuits. Earning a music scholarship, he attended Colgate University in Hamilton, New York, where he studied both music and economics. He won awards for his musical talent and performed concerts highlighting the works of Chopin and Rachmaninoff. In addition, Scott Perlov learned guitar, on which he enjoyed playing music from the folk rock genre. After graduation with his Bachelor’s degree, Scott Perlov relocated to Glendale, Arizona, where he enrolled in the Thunderbird School of Global Management and earned his Master of Business Administration. At Thunderbird, he distinguished himself through outstanding academic achievement, and he traveled to Tokyo one summer to complete an intern program hosted by Andersen Consulting. In 1997, Scott Perlov gained admittance to the American University Washington School of Law, located in Washington, D.C. He completed his Juris Doctor three years later and received the top grade in his Personal Income Tax class as well as a Dean’s award. In 2004, he returned to his academic pursuits and earned a Master of Laws in Tax Law from the New York University School of Law. Before going into private practice, Mr. Perlov contributed his talents to a number of law firms, including Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP; Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP; Weston Benshoof Rochefort Rubalacava & MacCuish LLP; and the Law Offices of Allison B. Margolin. At these firms, Scott Perlov held positions ranging from Paralegal to Associate, and he gained experience in criminal defense, corporate litigation, tax, copyright, and bankruptcy matters. Scott Perlov joined the Colorado Bar Association in 2010 and The State Bar of California in 2000. He belongs to numerous organizations, including the Colgate University Alumni, the Thunderbird Alumni, the American University Washington College of Law Alumni, and the Tax Problem Resolution Services Coalition.
