Scott Stokas

Based in Southern California, Scott Stokas currently is the Vice President of Acquisitions at Pontus Capital in La Jolla. In this role, he holds responsibility for the structuring, sourcing, and underwriting of investment opportunities related to the company's net lease portfolio. Scott Stokas conducts careful due diligence regarding each potential investment and follows deals through execution and beyond. He develops business plans and exit strategies, as well.

Previously, Scott Stokas served as a Director at Realty Income in San Diego. In this role, he closed seven transactions, including multimillion-dollar deals in the Midwest and Napa Valley, California. He researched prospective opportunities by utilizing his relationships with individuals in corporations and institutions, as well as advisory organizations.

Scott Stokas' other experience includes nearly three years as an Investment Banking Analyst focused on real estate for Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Charlotte, North Carolina. While there, he researched and recommended financing options to a range of clients seeking to complete leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, and capital expansion projects.

Prior to joining Bank of America, Scott Stokas studied accounting at Michigan State University in East Lansing. A strong student, he received his Bachelor's degree from the Honors College and completed several Master's-level courses, including Security Analysis and Entrepreneurship. He also volunteered to help individuals to file their income taxes.

In his free time, Scott Stokas enjoys a variety of activities that include working on cars and reading. He likes athletic pursuits, such as cycling, skiing, working out, and hiking. Moreover, he travels and ride horses.
