My goal in life is to make really happy readers.

I study my craft, endlessly. It also means I have to be brave enough to use my voice, even when I'm not feeling brave, at all.

Since I am often asked, the best writing advice for any fiction is to completely focus in on your emotions. Feel what's happening, let your deepest longings out, and forget about other people.

Once you have emotionally drained yourself dry, when the story is finished, run a grammar and spelling check on the text. Do those things and you'll be light years ahead of 99% of the other writers out there.

Of course, there's more to it than that, but if you can truly convey your emotions on the page, so much else simply falls by the wayside because it is so much less important.

Be kind. Work hard.

The grass is always greener where you water it.
