Sehaj Sahni is a youth worker, entrepreneur, and author working at the intersection of technology, humanitarian development, and youth engagement. His works often involve micro-engagement, investigative modes of behavior mapping, designing, operationalizing, and analyzing standardized global experiences for adolescents and youth. Currently, he serves as the founder and CEO of Indian Youth Cafe.He has been an active advocate for Youth rights and freedom of expression and has worked relentlessly to create Safe spaces for Youth to talk about youth politics, civic engagement, climate action, etc. Through his surveys and research into youth, he initiated a social space, Urban Desi house( India’s only Youth Cafe) in 2015 which has acquired a regular user base of more than 57000 youth from Chennai till date and have consulted with various coworking brands to offer them placemaking services such as Cowrks, India.

He has personally led highly acclaimed social experiments such as young weirdos meetup- a congregation of creative people from the local community and personally involved in more than 300 collaborative cum creative jams, meetups, and workshops across the city. He has supported many start-ups across the city by providing them with spaces to them jam, co-work, and hangout.

He has been aggressively working for UN SDGs specifically for SDG 11, SDG 4,8, 13, and 17. In 2018, He was awarded Youth Volunteer VAwards by United Nations Volunteers, Ministry of youth affairs and sports, UNDP India for working tirelessly to address social and development issues. He has also worked for many global online campaigns like #Youth440, #NotTooYoungToRun, #ThisisZeroHour, and currently, #MyMarkMyCity to galvanize the global climate action. His start-up, Yowan food, and beverages private limited got government recognition as a Start-up in 2017 and ranked as one of the top 3000 start-ups in India by GOI, Department of Science and technology, and IIM KOLKATA. He is also a guest columnist at "Let Me Breathe". Recently his research paper was published in the technical session at India Volunteering Conclave, a joint effort by Ministry and UNV.

Apart from the business activities, he is also a peacebuilder working currently with UNESCO MGIEP AND UNAOC to foster peace in the South Asian region. He was recently elected as Operations facilitator at official children and youth constituency to UNEP, and serves as an official changemaker at Museum for the United Nations - UN Live.
