Shafeeq Gigyani

Shafeeq Gigyani is Pakhtunkhwa based Activist who pokes in Politics & Governance, Society & Culture and Tech & Entrepreneurship through his Activism, Blog, Podcast & a Radio Show.
He did Master of Public Administration from University of Peshawar where he was also elected as President of Association of Student of Public Administration (ASPA) and emerged as Student Leader.
Later he choose development Professional and Civil Society Activism by founding 'The Enlight Lab' for the diffusion of Knowledge and Social Reforms.
He also spent time at District Government Nowshehra and Member Working Committee Group, P&D Dept. Govt. of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where He worked with all devolved departments , and has good know-how on Governance, Public Policy and Law.
Being a staunch supporter of Democracy, Peace & Human Rights, He has been part of major Socio-Political movements in Pakhtunkwha like Amn Tehrik, Pakhtunkhwa Civil Society Netwark, Pakhtun Awareness Movement, Pakhtunkhwa Ulasi Tehrik and other.
Beside these He took other initiatives like Taleemi Dharna (A sit-in in the wake of 16/12 Peshawar Massacre), Each one should teach one, (A Literacy Campaign), Ražai che Pukhto zdā kṛo (Pashto Orientation Classes) and Career Guidance Sessions in 70 schools & Peshawar 2.0. He thinks that Education, Tolerance, Technology and Entrepreneurship are the lone keys of success for Pashtuns.
He actively uses Social Media for highlighting Human Rights and Governance issues in Pakhtunkhwa and on Instagram he preserving indigenous products and Culture. He often writes blogs on Social issues, History and Culture.
He still loves to eat Beans curry of Islamia College Peshawar’s Recreation Center and Chaat of Sharmsar Market. UOP. And believes that Socio-Political Activist should know something of Everything.
