Shahram Salimitari

Board certified in the fields of laparoscopic and bariatric surgery, Dr. Shahram Salimitari has operated his own private practice in Los Angeles, California, for almost five years. After earning a bachelor of science in biology from the University of California at Irvine, he relocated to Illinois to attend the Chicago Medical School (CMS). Dr. Shahram Salimitari graduated from CMS with a master of applied physiology in 1998 and a doctor of medicine in 2002.
Pursuing his lifelong dream of becoming a surgeon, Dr. Salimitari went on to complete a residency in general surgery at Chicago’s Mount Sinai Hospital and a fellowship in LAP-BAND surgery at the University of South Florida. Before going into business for himself, he served as a clinical member of a private medical group in Beverly Hills, California.
When he is not working, Dr. Salimitari enjoys biking along Santa Monica beach and hiking with his German Shepherd and mixed-breed Chihuahua.
