Shannon Nelson

Shannon Nelson has earned the respect of his peers and subordinates in his role as President and Regional Sales Manager for American Senior Benefits, based in Traverse City, Michigan. They appreciate his leadership skills and enthusiasm as well as the personal interest he takes in their success and in meeting the needs of the company's senior clientele. Shannon Nelson has also received acclaim for his drive, compassion, knowledge, and commitment. Throughout his career with American Senior Benefits and previous employers, Shannon Nelson has participated in a number of groups, including a leadership development committee, a national advisory council, an executive council, and a compliance committee. He has also met the requirements to obtain the credentials of Certified Senior Advisor and Certified Long-term Care Specialist. Furthermore, he holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from the University of Southern Indiana.

Outside of his professional life, Mr. Nelson supports numerous nonprofits, including the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Alzheimer's Association, Meals On Wheels, Goodwill Industries, and a local senior softball league. He also donates to the area YMCA.

In his leisure time, Shannon Nelson engages in travel, sports, and watching movies and television. His favorite programs include Revenge, Seinfeld, Fringe, and Two and a Half Men. At the movies, Mr. Nelson particularly enjoyed Casino Royale, 300, Anchorman, Top Gun, and Hunger Games. He enjoys playing and watching billiards, football, baseball, and golf, as well as playing with his dog, Bentley, and he has visited the Caribbean, the Bahamas, Jamaica, Mexico, and Las Vegas.
