The online world opened to me while publishing Edmontonians magazine. It was a 21-year love affair covering the personality of business in Alberta's capital city.
The popular monthly had grown into a multi-media enterprise with an online platform, signature programs like the Sizzling under 30, and a range of community events. Yet, Edmontonians relied on the traditional advertising business model and, in late 2008-09, decision makers were slowly moving budgets to online programs. There were new horizons to explore.
After selling the magazine in 2010, I led a team on three continents to develop a Beta portal for the now U.S.-based Well and Wise Media. The deep exploration of online communications marketing led me to what I do today: help organizations leverage their respective publics--online and off.
Your company benefits from the following:
1) Communicaitons goals and strategies aligned with your business plan;
2) Execution and management of the approved plan;
3) Evolved marketing tactics to better realize pre-determined ROI.
My passion for communications marketing has been influenced by my previous careers raising private sector funds.Prior to fundraising and publishing, I managed public affairs in three departments for the Government of Alberta where I specialized in internal communications and crisis communications.
Recognition in 2006 as a Global Television Woman of Vision truly was an honour as was my nomination in 1999 for Woman of Distinction and, in 2010, aspart of Women's Empowerment Canada.
I believe in the need to understand the "why" of a communicaitons message before the "making" of any messages. It would be my honour to help you discover the reason for your "why", too.
I am available on LinkedIn, on Facebook and by Twitter. You can also telephone my cell at 780.886.5957.
