Reflect Curiosity and Wonder

Go boldly and scatter seeds of kindness.

Currently, I combine writing and art through design to encourage others in visual thinking, art, and blogging.

In my other life, I was an educator.

As the Technology Advocate and full-time middle school Language Arts / Media teacher in a public school in rural Washington State, my classroom encouraged readers and writers to blossom as they connected with other students globally, considering others’ ideas. Digital citizenship, media literacy, and equity in tech access are still my passions.

I guided students in these through Google Apps in Education applications, and provided staff with professional development for integrating technology authentically in projects with daily use of these tools, especially for student and/or teacher collaboration, hyperdocs, and formative assessments for differentiation and quality feedback.

I participated early in the Teacher Leadership Project of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, adding to my passion for 21st Century teaching and learning.

I helped facilitate July's CLMOOC 2017: "An open, collaborative, knowledge-building learning and sharing experience" and supported teachers learning technology as the Teacher Tech Mentor in Jennifer Gonzalez's JumpStart in Tech Course, which I've continue to enjoy as mentor from 2017- 2024.

My husband and I enjoy our four children, eleven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
