After 20 years as an (unhappy) headhunter I discovered my 'why' and founded The Marketing Academy a unique non-profit organisation dedicated to the development of leadership talent in the world of marketing & advertising. The Marketing Academy launched in the UK in 2010 and in Australia in 2014. The Academy programmes are sponsored by companies such as British Airways, Google, NewsCorp, Foxtel, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, McKinsey & Co, British Gas, Microsoft, Adobe, Lloyds Banking Group, ITV and Mondelez. Many people are amazed to discover that the Academy does not charge for any of its core programmes.
I'm also a Director of Plant for Peace and Trustee of its Foundation, an awe inspiring organisation bringing peace, food security and sustainable income to post conflict countries such as Afghanistan through the creation of horticultural cooperatives; planting pomegranates not poppy’s!
I've spoken at many conferences and I also work with individuals and companys as a business coach. I run leadership programmes for senior teams in all industrys and when I get the chance I write about talent engagement, development and all things ‘leadership’. Articles have featured in Sunday Times, FastCo, Telegraph, AdNews, Marketing Week, Marketing Magazine, Management Today and CMO.com.
Despite an exciting and busy working life, and perhaps because of it, I'm happiest when I'm at home in England with my husband and 3 daughters.
