Shirley O'Nan

A recent graduate of Bowling Green State University, Shirley earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism, specializing in Public Relations with double minors in Marketing and Communication. Graduating Magna Cum Laude and earning the 2013 Most Outstanding Public Relations Student award, she has proven herself to be a diligent, hard-working student who is ready to take on the real world.

Recently, Shirley moved to Columbus, Ohio to launch her career and she accepted a position as Communications Assistant at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. Having previously interned with Fahlgren Mortine and ScottsMiracle-Gro her expertise includes social media management, media relations, press release writing, blogger outreach and more.

In her spare time, Shirley practices yoga, knits, reads best-selling novels and is an active volunteer. Growing up an Army Brat, she loves to travel and would rather spend her time outdoors. Whether she is tending to her garden, hiking the Columbus Metropark trails or raising Monarch butterflies - Shirley always feels at home.
