Shridhar holds a Ph.D. in Geoinformatics, specializing in Earth observation (EO) and remote sensing (RS) applications in the cryosphere. With over 14 years of experience in EO and RS research, he actively contributes to understanding environmental changes in the Arctic, Antarctic, and Himalayas, collaborating with research institutes, industries, academia, and international organizations. Shridhar possesses advisory, leadership, coordination, and management skills in EO and RS, research infrastructure, observing networks, and EU projects associated with cryosphere sciences. He has a proven track record of leading teams, working groups, and coordinating satellite calibration and validation activities. His background includes implementing research projects in polar regions, managing airborne remote sensing campaigns in Svalbard, and facilitating joint activities to support science in the region.
