Sidney Butler

Sidney Butler was born in Houston, TX. Yes, this is the same place that bred the great queen B, Beyonce. She only wishes that some of that Houston magic will come her way and make her into a grand celebrity one day.

She is currently studying Film and Television at NYU's Tisch School for the Arts in New York City. When she's not creating short films or short screenplays for class she is most likely reaching the end of Netflix. From House of Cards to New Girl, she's seen it all, and then again, and again. She does this believing that she should become more knowledgable about the field she wishes to be in some day. Some of her favorite shows include (but are not limited to): The Office, Veep, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Mindy Project and Broad City. If any of these are also your favorite TV shows, hit her up she'd love to meet you because you clearly have a great sense of humor.

Sidney wishes to become a writer for a comedy series at some point in her life. In March of 2014 she was awarded Best Undergraduate Short Screenplay by NYU's Fusion Film Festival.

She is currently interning with the wonderful HashtagNYU team at New York University.
