Sidney Elyea

Sidney Elyea is an independent construction consultant living in Minneapolis. With over 19 years of professional experience in the industry, he paved the way for a successful career with his education. Mr. Elyea attended Saint Cloud Technical College and received a diploma in Building, Construction, Drafting and Estimating in 1991, and after several years of successful employment, returned to school in 1999 and graduated magna cum laude from Cardinal Stritch University with a Bachelor's in Business Management.

Sidney Elyea has worked a variety of construction management jobs that contribute to his expertise. He was a Project Manager and Estimator with C&E Construction Managers, where he oversaw the construction of more than 50 commercial projects, working with clients to determine what was required for a project and using his project experience to determine the cost. He also worked as an Estimator and Drafter for Granite City Roofing, where he used architectural plans to draft roofing and sheet metal material lists. As Senior Project Manager with Dale Gruber Construction, Sidney Elyea evaluated areas of proposed remodeling designs, helping with more than 30 major commercial and residential construction projects.

Sidney Elyea now works as an independent consultant and project manager. In his free time, Sidney Elyea has fun vacationing, playing football, camping, and grilling. An outdoorsman, he enjoys hiking and biking on nature trails to relax, and likes to fish for large mouth bass on Lake Minnewashta. Mr. Elyea won first place in a pistol target league he entered with his wife in 2010.
