Silwan Chedid is an esteemed medical professional, specializing in Oncology, and Hematology. He began his educational career when he moved from his home of Australia to the United States in 1979. Starting with an Associate’s Degree from the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science in Denton Texas, Chedid climbed his way up the educational ladder. Next he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of Texas, Austin and a M.D. from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. Silwan Chedid continued on to complete his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark, NJ. Chedid finished up his educational career with a three year fellowship at one of the world's most respected cancer centers devoted exclusively to cancer care, research, education and prevention; the M.D, Anderson Cancer Center. With such a strong foundation of prestigious education, Silwan Chedid was bound to be a successful doctor.
Today Silwan Chedid has his own clinical practice operating out of both Austin and Temple Texas. He uses his vast knowledge of Hematology and Oncology to better serve his patients, as well as the public. After five happy years operating his own private practice, in February of 2010, he joined the Central Texas Veterans Healthcare System, where Chedid is currently the primary investigator of three clinical trials. In his spare time, Silwan Chedid likes to stay active. At present, Chedid holds Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, and Hematology. His favorite ways to pastimes include swimming, jogging, and bicycle riding.
