Simone was born in Bradenton, Florida and grew up during the good years – the 90s– reading, sketching, writing, and parked in front of a computer to eventually foster a love for technology and new gadgetry.

Serving as an intern for three years at Manatee County Government, she eventually paid her dues and was hired full time in the Neighborhood Services Department (NSD) working on a multitude of projects for NSD and the public relations office in the County Administrator’s Office. Projects range from “making complicated documents pretty and fun to read”, designing the employee newsletter, and filming and producing short video snippets.

Simone began a new role as Neighborhood Specialist in June 2014. With the goal to empower neighborhoods to help themselves, she educates, mentors, and partners with various local agencies to help neighborhoods become their own best advocate. She also builds partnerships with said organizations to help refer citizens to them.

Simone's also a founding member of the Manatee Millennial Movement. The purpose of this group is to increase community engagement among young professionals in the area.

In December 2012, the millennial graduated with a General Business Administration degree with concentrations in Management and Marketing from University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee. December 2015, she walked across the USF stage again to receive her Master's in Public Administration degree and a year later her Master's of Business Administration degree.

One day she would either like to rise through the ranks of local government or become a foreign service officer.

Simone has been a Toastmaster since September 2009 and has achieved the highest distinction available - Distinguished Toastmaster. She has served many club roles such as: VP of Public Relations, VP of Membership, Secretary, and VP of Education. On a district level she has served as Toastmasters District 48 Secretary, Newsletter Chair and Public Relations Manager.

She is now the Owner/Designer of Baby Bird Design, LLC. & Owner/Adventure Consultant of The Wanderlust Tours & Cruises Co.

Simone also serves as the Vice President of Marketing for the Manasota Black Chamber of Commerce.
