About me? Having spent most of my working life in Printing, decided on a change. I had previously thought of becoming a driving instructor but never followed it up. It was January 2006 and now was that time. I chose to train with BSM who at that time were second to none and after passing the qualifying exams franchised with them until company politics and ownership change ruined a perfectly good business. DriveSmith Driver Training & Development was born. Actually more like it evolved. January 2010 a leased car was delivered and my journey continued full speed ahead. Forward to August 2011 and I took and passed the DSA Fleet exams and a few days later became a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists by passing their driving test. Since then many other courses have been taken in my quest to not only further my own knowledge, but be able to pass it on to other too. A full list is available on my website. Each and every student that passes their driving test with me gets individual attention. No two people are the same and having taught both my daughters to drive and my son, I know that siblings can be so very different.
