Instructional Designer and Learning Engineer in Alexandria, Virginia
I've been helping people create and manage digital learning experiences for the last 15 years. Lately, I've been lucky enough to talk about what i do.
I am, by training and practice, an instructional designer who has worked primarily to design and develop elearning in the commercial, military, and U.S. federal government contexts.
I am a not-particularly-attentive moderator for the /r/elearning subreddit, a participant in the /r/instructionaldesign subreddit, and was one-third of the bi-weekly Learning Circles webcast. I was once the facilitator for some of the first xAPI Design Cohorts for the Advanced Distributed Learning Initiative.
I currently work for E3 Federal Solutions, LLC, for whom I am an instructional designer on-site in Washington, DC, on contract to the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) FEDSIM group.
I am the IEEE ICICLE Vice-Chair and Special Interest Group Liaison Officer and a member of the eLearn Magazine editorial board.
I am an elearning jockey, Experience API evangelist, and a recovering brazilophile.
