As social media director, I have led launches for UC Berkeley on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Instagram. Most recently, I developed the social media strategy for Berkeley's day of giving. During the 24 hours of Big Give, $5,309,418 was raised from 7,336 gifts. That is the largest number of online gifts UC Berkeley has ever received in a single day.

Before moving to the higher education sector, I was a content director for BearingPoint's technical services group in San Francisco. I have also worked as a journalist covering federal healthcare policy and interviewed several members of the Clinton cabinet. I was part of the editorial staff of a start-up magazine now known as Health magazine, and honed my fact-checking skills as an intern at Mother Jones magazine.
