“On every block in every community is a child waiting to be understood, accepted and loved. I want to help these kids find their voice…”
Senovia Byndon was one of those kids who did not understand her worth and with the help of loved ones, mentors and teachers; Senovia was able to see the glass half-full instead of half-empty. Senovia went on to achieve success in theatre (She starred in various productions around Indianapolis, IN and Cincinnati, OH). She is also a featured headliner at various venues around Cincinnati. She enthusiastically and sincerely shares her story so that she may help young people become the success she knows they can achieve.
Senovia has dedicated her life to helping kids build their self-esteem by changing their outlook on life from one of failure to achieving success. As former Miss Indiana Black Expo and Miss Black Indiana, Senovia has used her achievements as a platform to speak out against child abuse. Senovia also serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for abused and neglected children in Cincinnati, Ohio. Senovia is also a Child Development Associate and field advocate with The American Foundation for Suicide and Anti-Bullying Prevention.
In addition to running a successful daycare center, Snow's Day Care, Senovia is founder and executive producer of A&S Youth Productions, a production company that caters to youth participation in the arts by teaching kids how to produce and perform in plays including musicals, skits and dance recitals. The company’s first production premiered Spring, 2013.
