Bio
I am a Toronto based artist creating prints and interactive works with code since 2004.
My influences range from early generative artists of the 1960s such as Manfred Mohr and Vera Molnár to Sol LeWitt and more recently Casey Reas, co-founder of Processing.
What is Generative Art?
Generative art (Gen art) is a form of digital art that is created using algorithms and mathematical processes instead of traditional techniques.
Gen artworks are created by following a set of rules with parameters defined by the artist, producing a constrained but virtually endless variety of possibilities and making each piece unique.
Gen art has its roots in the early computer graphics and computer music experiments of the 1950s and 1960s. It has evolved into an artistic movement that challenges traditional ideas about art and authorship, exploring the relationship between human creativity and machine- generated processes.
