Stephen Richardson is a senior freelance consultant with over 15 years of experience in innovative program design and project management.

From professional involvement with documentaries on socio-political conflicts in Turkey to providing support for teachers after disasters in the Philippines, Stephen is drawn to the malleability of education as a platform for engagement with a critical awareness of social inequities. His perspectives are grounded in early professional experiences in arts education, including collaborative youth development initiatives in South Africa using Hip Hop as a platform for social change.

In 2014, Stephen founded the design lab Synchroneity where he supported international orgranizations identifying and clarifying solutions to complex problems. For example, working on education technology initiatives in response to the Syrian Crisis for War Child Holland, Mercy Corps, and the International Rescue Committee (IRC).

In 2017-2021, Stephen supported the Norwegian Refugee Council's Syrian Response inside Syrian and in Lebanon.
