Steve Brewster

My research is all about allowing people to use technology in the richest ways possible. I run the Multimodal Interaction Group at Glasgow University where we look at how we can use different human senses and control capabilities in user interfaces.

I am interested in non-speech and 3D sound, haptics and gestures. I apply these to mobile phones, digital cameras, touchscreens and cars. A strong focus is on users who cannot see screens either because they are mobile and looking at the environment around them, or due to a visual impairment.
