It is not about me, its about all of us

I dream of a world where the inherent worth, dignity and autonomy of everyone is universal and upheld. Where everyone has the right to be as free as possible, compatible with the same rights of others. A world where democracy and human rights are paramount principles in all relationships and where justice is worthy of its name. Where our common, intrinsic morality unites and where differences attract, inform, entertain and inspire. A world of art, creativity, happiness and health. Where science is used creatively, not destructively, and the methods of science and free inquiry are applied for the welfare of all. Where trade sustains and enables and where power is transparent and in service of only the common good. A world of moral progress and the relentless discovery of truth. Where we learn from the past, live in the present and care for the future. A world where all are responsible to each other, to future generations and the biosphere that creates and sustains. This is my dream, but it is not a fantasy. I try to live it every day and am blessed to see it in others. I am not alone. This world is possible. Our greatest calling is to help make it happen.
