Stephen Ira

I've published poetry & short fiction in Spot Literary Magazine & 365 Tomorrows.  I have poems forthcoming in Specter Magazine, as well as in an anthology of trans & genderqueer poetry ed. TC Colbert & Tim Peterson. I've been a featured poet at the Sarah Lawrence Poetry Fest & the Velvet Guerilla Cabaret. I attend Sarah Lawrence College, where I co-chair the transgender student activist group.  I write the blog Super Mattachine, which you can find below by clicking the WordPress icon. These days I write for the online component of the trans male quarterly, Original Plumbing, usually reviewing books.  I used to live in Los Angeles, where I taught poetry at a preschool between an ice cream shop & a graveyard.
