Stephen Yap of Fairfield, CT, is an accomplished sales executive with 15 years of combined experience in the technology and service industries. Stephen Yap is currently Head of Emerging Products and Markets at Google in New York City, a position he has held since early 2012. He is formerly the Head of Platform Sales and Account Management for Google and the Director of Sales for DoubleClick, a subsidiary of Google.

As Head of Platform & Account Management, Stephen Yap was part of Google’s Global Advertiser & Agency Solutions division and managed account teams throughout Asia, the Americas, and Northern Europe. Along with achieving annual revenue targets in excess of $120 million, he was responsible for managing the division's profit and loss margins and developing sales for Google Analytics Premium. He was also the architect of sales execution and operations practice for Google’s Latin American platforms. In his role as Director of Sales and Account Management, Mr. Yap oversaw the Advertiser & Agency Solutions division and directed a team responsible for over $300 million in revenue. Among his many achievements was the development of a national sales initiative that leveraged current Google Media relationships in order expand the DoubleClick market share and penetration.

Prior to DoubleClick’s acquisition by Google, Stephen Yap worked his way up the company ranks from Account Manager to Senior Account Director of Sales and Account Management. Before moving to Fairfield, CT, to be closer to his work in New York, Mr. Yap worked for Send.com in Boston as the Manager of the company’s premium beverage division. He began his career in sales as an assistant with Katz Radio Network.

Outside his professional life, Stephen Yap lives in Fairfield, CT, plays golf, competes in triathlons, and enjoys CrossFit training. He also makes charitable contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project and to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Mr. Yap is a graduate of Boston College in Chestnut Hill, MA, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts and in Psychology and Biology.
