Writer and Humanist Celebrant in Yorkshire

I am a professional, full-time, humanist funeral celebrant.

Humanist ceremonies - yes, even funerals - are uplifting events, each one unique to the family and their loved ones, reflecting their lives, hopes, achievements and relationships. I enjoy all aspects of being a celebrant – meeting people, creating the ceremony, and conducting the ceremony itself. It is an immense honour and privilege to play such an important role at such an important time. I work hard to make sure that each ceremony is exactly right for the family concerned, and nothing gives me greater reward than knowing I have done a good job for them.

If you want a professional celebrant who has lots of experience in life and ceremonies work, is down to earth (some say laid back) friendly and approachable with a healthy sense of humour, I might just be the one for you, so please don’t hesitate to make contact without any obligation.

So, I’m passionate about Humanism - but what else? Writing was one of my strong points at school and I revived this later in life - my debut novel Diavolino was first published in 2011.

My YouTube channel has come out of my love for words and the many wonderful readings and poems I’ve discovered in my work as a celebrant. If you’re looking for the perfect poem or reading for a ceremony you might find it on my channel or among the links I offer. Of course, I also read horror stories as it’s my favourite genre and escape from reality. Just click on the YouTube logo below to find me there. I’ll be waiting for you.

Aside from all that, I love the arts in general but am especially a big opera and music fan, I enjoy good books and films, like a good wine and decent food, travel, and my interest in current affairs and social issues is lifelong. And that brings me back to Humanism!
