Theological Librarian in Winthrop, Massachusetts

Read my blog

Greetings! I am a man, who thoroughly enjoys getting lost in thought; and, that probably happens far more often than it should. Now and then, I’ll put my thoughts in written form and share those compositions with friends, at least a few of whom believe I have something worthwhile to say. In fact, my blog, Musings Amid the Thorns, began with their encouragement.

I consider myself a Catholic Christian humanist, and I tend to think and write about my passions – God (especially the “character” of God), family, friendship, baseball, childhood, innocence, contemplation, and finding meaning in the ordinary happenings of life.

Though I often consider theological matters, I have no interest whatsoever in theological jousting. Gentility and mutual respect are quite important to me.

Academically speaking, I have two master’s degrees – one in Religious Studies and another in Library Science. That I spend my working hours doing theological librarianship is one of the greatest blessings in my life. I so enjoy interacting with the faculty and students in the institutions that I serve.

On a personal note, I am happily married to the love of my life, Marianne. We have three grown children and six wonderful grandchildren… who just might show up in some of my "musings."

Thanks so much for your interest. Blessings!
