Steve Arbaugh

As a national thought leader and executive in the health insurance and health care industries, Steve Arbaugh serves as Managing Principal of ATTAC Consulting Group, LLC (ACG). A native of Michigan, Steve Arbaugh completed his undergraduate studies at Michigan State University and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Marketing in 1981. After working with firms such as United Health Care, Mr. Arbaugh was appointed Executive Director of Care Choices Health Plans in 1989. In the early '90s, he was recruited to join the consulting team of The Pace Group, Inc., in Dallas, where he served as Senior Consultant in its corporate turnaround and business formation practices.

After a seven-year tenure with the consulting firm, Steve Arbaugh was appointed Chief Executive Officer of FirstCare Health Plans, a health care insurance company based in Austin, Texas. Mr. Arbaugh later relocated to Houston to assume the role of Chief Operating Officer at MethodistCare Health Plan, another health care insurance firm. In 2003, Steve Arbaugh joined with other former members of The Pace Group to found ATTAC Consulting Group. He left the firm briefly in 2004 and 2005 to serve as Executive Vice President of Gorman Health Group, LLC, returning in 2005 to serve is its Managing Principal.

As part of his role as Managing Principal at ACG, Steve Arbaugh is a national thought leader in the management of government health programs such as Medicare and Medicaid. He guides clients in strategy in the era of health reform. Mr. Arbaugh applies his extensive experience and knowledge of the health care and health insurance industries to help client companies navigate the complexities of the government and private health insurance markets. The ACG consulting team includes numerous industry veterans, many of whom worked as chief executive officers, chief financial officers, chief marketing officers, chief information officers, and chief operating officers prior to joining the firm.
