Steve Darmody

Founder, CEO, and Gospel Artist of Morning Song Music Group Ofc: 404-806-7479 email: steve@morningsong.org

Steve Darmody has been serving Christ through concert ministry since 1979 and has performed over 2500 concerts around the globe. He has one of Gospel Music’s finest voices, winning the 1988 Estes Park Christian Music Vocal Competitions. His music style ranges from Traditional and Inspirational to a touch of adult contemporary and smooth jazz. His "milk chocolate" voice has been compared to Bing Crosby and Pat Boone.

He has recorded eight solo CDs featuring some of the finest musicians and producers in Christian music, like Nashville's Lari Goss and Dick Tunney. He has been featured as a guest performer on more than a dozen Christian television networks and programs including eight performances so far on the Trinity Broadcasting Network.

Steve has ministered in an array of situations and venues ranging from the Crystal Cathedral to makeshift stages in Australia’s outback. In 1996 he gave a concert at the Atlanta Olympics as part of the Olympic's Cultural Exchange. In 2009 Steve was invited to perform a concert at the Pentagon, and later to sing for the US Senate Staff Prayer Breakfast. He has since performed concerts in some of the world's finest performing arts venues, including New York's Carnegie Hall and the Warsaw Philharmonic Hall.

Steve sings for all denominational groups and national gatherings. Multiple overseas tours have taken him, literally, around the world. But his heart remains, as it has always been, in the ministry and mission of the local church.

Steve is the president of the Morning Song Music Group. Besides the record label, Morning Song Music, he manages several subsidiary companies including
the Morning Song eStore which is an online store that sells CDs by a growing list of independent and label artists. Morning Song also has a 24/7 internet radio station (www.morningsongradio.com), a concert booking and tour management agency - Morning Song Concerts (www.msconcerts.org), a Christian tour company called Horizon Travel, and a graphic design and CD/DVD fabrication company called Ariel Media Group.

Steve and his wife, Joni, have two married children, Jaclyn and Alan, and three grandchildren, Margot, Jack and Oliver.
