Steve Dingman

Steve Dingman, MD, currently serves as a Drug Safety Physician for Global Clinical Safety and Pharmacovigilance at UCB, Inc., a U.S. branch of the global pharmaceutical company UCB S.A., headquartered in Belgium. Dr. Dingman is in charge of evaluating pre- and post-marketing safety data on a range of UCB sleep and movement disorder products. He also assists in company compliance with U.S. Food and Drug Administration regulations, as well as regulations governing drugs sold in Canada. Dr. Steve Dingman is based in UCB’s Raleigh, North Carolina, offices. Dr. Steve Dingman has worked for much of his career in the area of pharmaceutical oversight. In his previous position with SRA International, Inc., in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, he was Senior Director for Medical Affairs and Pharmacovigilance. He provided management of the company’s product lines around the world, including risk assessment and medical review. In his more than six years at SRA, Dr. Dingman took on jobs that involved increasing levels of responsibility, starting as a Project Manager overseeing all day-to-day aspects of clinical trials, progressing to Medical Director responsible for safety review and drug development strategies, and concluding with his senior-level executive position. Earlier in his career, Dr. Dingman worked as a clinical investigator with The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as well as several health research firms in the Raleigh area. Dr. Steve Dingman graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from North Carolina State University in 1993. He received his medical degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1999. He served his residency in general surgery at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine in Memphis and another residency in neurosurgery at The University of North Carolina Hospitals and Clinics. Dr. Dingman has published or presented more than one dozen academic papers and led or assisted in more than 60 research projects.
