Having led companies in transition and managing transactions throughout N. America, Europe, Asia and MENA, he has honed his skills to develop & implement value added operations and investment strategies while attracting and managing high quality professionals. Whether it is leading a NASDAQ company through a major restructuring effort, or being the COO of the most successful IPO of the first quarter of 1994 (Forbes) or working with a sovereign wealth fund like Abu Dhabi Investment Company to develop its regional and global private equity investment and co-investment strategy, Steven has shined. He has successfully raised over $1.5 billion in direct and fund investment commitments from HNW, sovereign and institutional investors. He has learned from the best in their fields. He has had the great honor while he was at Harvard Business School to work with Professor Michael Porter, renowned Strategy expert and to work with H.E. Harab Al Darmaki. the head of private equity at the largest sovereign wealth fund in the world, the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority. It is truly the sense of a new challenge that drives the spirit of this inspirational leader. While putting his MBA from Harvard to good use in his career, Steven W. Koinis also donated his time to Compass, a pro bono consulting service for nonprofit organizations in the Washington, D.C. area. He is also spearheading a substantial effort for the structuring and raising of a $500 million research and opportunities fund for the Multiple Sclerosis Society in order to help develop a cure and eradicate this disease. When not pursuing business opportunities, he enjoys traveling, golfing and spending time with his beautiful wife and two children, wherever they may be!
