My expertise is in media and information literacy (MIL), and analysis of Internet technologies, especially as existential phenomena. My engineering concentration in the sciences for technologies that affect societies (STS) is the primary lens through which I conduct my new media research, while leveraging ethics, philosophies and policies for new AI at the cybernetic, cybersemiotic and cyberwarfare levels, as informed by digital media, journalism and terrorism studies.
