Steve Royster

Steve is a corporate VC, first-time startup co-founder and leads the Rutgers University Venture Community.

He spent two years as a corporate VC at Alcatel-Lucent/Bell Labs, originating & managing equity investments in communications-related startups. He also supported Bell Labs engineering teams on business strategy, analysis & pitch coaching. 

Prior to Bell Labs, Steve sourced & managed venture deals for the Edison Innovation Fund with the State of NJ and worked as an analyst with Medco and Cushman & Wakefield. 

Steve has an MBA in Finance from Rutgers and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Morgan State University. 

He's a beginning programmer, avid rare groove vinyl collector and optimistic Knicks fan.
