Growing up in the Far East and having a first job after University in Zimbabwe (complete with party phone lines and airmail letters!) it's mind blowing what has been achieved in the last 20 years...... But what exactly has technology and social media in particular achieved?

It has inverted the marketing world. 

Power is with the individual rather than the corporate. Companies need to recognise this and embrace the new marketing world if they are to succeed over the next decade.
