Stuart Watkins is freelance bassist from Ottawa, Canada.

In addition to having toured for 5 years with the Grammy Nominated East Village Opera Company (NYC), he's spent the last 3 years with The Canadian Tenors, having backed up such legends as Paul Anka and Kenny G, artists such as Eric Benet, Charice, Jann Arden, Johnny Reid, Kelly Levesque, to name a few. In addition to the many talented and countless Canadian artists, he's also played bass with 18-time Grammy award winning producer David Foster and has performed at every Olympic Games since 2004. Stuart has recorded and toured with many international artists including The Mighty Popo (Universal), Chinese superstar Chairman George, and Germany's Crystin Schulz.

Watkins was the first western student of master bassist Habib Faye (Peter Gabriel, Youssou N'dour) having studied the Mbalax tradition with him in Dakar, Senegal.

When not on tour, he teaches electric bass with the Faculty of Music, at Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario and maintains a busy performing schedule.
