Conversation Consultant, Public Speaker, and Coach in the United States

I am a day dreaming strategist, with an addictive bent towards learning and making the future great. I believe that conversation in an open, entertaining and engaging environment will help us all to live better and work well. Individual growth and community cohesion are built on conversation, as are successful workplaces with effective leaders, productive teams and engaged cultures. That is the purpose of my conversation consulting practice: squishtalks.

My latest large scale community project was a listening exploration of Nebraska called a couple of 830 mile long conversations.

As well as my conversation consultancy, I partner with Dan Gilbert in an innovation, design thinking, and futurist consultancy: Gilbert+Chittenden.

I am formerly a partner at david day | associates, where I consulted on brand strategy with local and national clients, from publicly traded global manufacturers to community non-profits. Prior to that, I was a UK lawyer practicing for years at major international legal practices.

I earned my Masters accreditation in Organizational Learning and Development and am a member of the UK’s Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development. I have also dabbled in journalism, including a weekly Op-Ed column for a Colorado daily and been published in Denver's 5280 Magazine. My poetry has been published in The Antigonish Review, the Blue Moon Literary & Art Review, Euphony Journal and the Tulane Review.
