Stuart Hansen (China)

California resident Stu Hansen serves in multiple senior management positions. As Vice President of Drewco Development Corporation's International Investments since 2006, Vice President of Marquee Asset Management, and President of Shelter Asset Management, a Marquee subsidiary, Mr. Hansen oversees the Canadian real estate development firm's operations in the United States. Shelter Asset Management consults clients as they explore real estate development and redevelopment opportunities. Stu Hansen has a long and productive professional history with Drewco Development Corporation and with Marquee Asset Management as the companies have expanded into the US market.

With an academic record of excellence, Stuart Hansen graduated with honors from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, earning an Honors Business. Mr. Hansen received the Alexander Rutherford Academic Scholarship three years in a row and passed the National Latin Exam with magna cum laude honors.

Mr. Hansen started his career as a market researcher, recommending changes in operations and performance evaluations for Clarion Hotels in Canada. Staying with Clarion Hotels, Mr. Hansen moved into positions as Marketing and Sales Manger, Development Coordinator, and Group Operations Director, with duties that included developing promotional strategies and implementing operational policies. As Development Coordinator, he was responsible for renovations.

In 1992, with his position as Vice President for the Clarion Group of Companies, Stu Hansen led the company's redevelopment of hotels into retail shopping centers. During his tenure at the Clarion Group of Companies, he was involved in the acquisition, redevelopment, and divestiture of many hotels.
