Surya Panditi

A business executive with nearly 25 years' worth of senior leadership experience, Surya Panditi currently heads Cisco System's Service Provider Networking Group as general manager and senior vice president. He is responsible for the product line's management, strategy, and marketing, as well as the engineering of the company's comprehensive line of service provider networking platforms. Since joining the company in 2005, Surya Panditi has achieved a string of successes: he turned around the company's optical networking platform business, and maintained top market share for high-end routing and cable modem termination systems (CMTS).

Panditi holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Chennai, and a master's in business administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Cisco Systems, Panditi worked in the field of data networking and telecommunications with Intel Corporation, Telco Systems, Ungermann-Bass, and US Robotics.
