I always have works in progress, and the process is my favorite part of making art. This is why I share process quite freely in my website with images and stories of the paintings and wood art. Front page fresh news is at the top of the page.

Although I have a long history of shows and sales to collectors, what I am making NOW is what I think is important. What I am currently making involves oil painting and also a new group of water-based gouaches on linen panels. Abstracts, and portraits of family. I am getting closer and closer to 80 now, and my intentions have become more intimate and more limited. Art is what I do with most of my waking hours. Carving, painting, drawing, and photographic documentation of all of it. I'm beginning a new website-- incomplete, but building slowly. www.susanghollandartstudio.com

It is a manifest GIVEN that my art only comes in "original." No posters, prints or giclees; only original watercolors, oils, mixed media, and recently acrylic mural size art for a historic project. And only handmade carved and painted wood objects.

I have been recently occupied creating 3x4' painted panels for the recently opened McMenamin's Anderson School Hotel and Pub/Brewery Complex in Bothell, WA. The Grand Opening was on October 15, 2015 with four of my paintings embedded in the walls of that transformed school. See how McMenamin's transformed it .

During a recent recovery from surgery, I partnered with Marc Turner, (UK) in founding an online critique group called Art Group Critique. It is a membership-based group, with keen interest in receiving and giving thoughtful critique to our own work and that of others. www.artgroupcritique.com

Doing a Google (or other) search for Susan G Holland, Art Studio will yield more and various sites I have created, blogged on, and used for showing work online. All of this will hopefully be more easily reachable once I edit it into my new website, www.susanghollandartstudio.com
